My name is Dave, and SeekAuto began in 2018—not as a big company, but as a personal journey. At the time, I was working as an Industrial Engineer in a renowned German manufacturing company in Cebu. Alongside my engineering career, I discovered a growing interest in sales—specifically in selling secondhand cars through Facebook as an additional source of income.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, everything changed. Work slowed down, income became uncertain, and like many Filipinos, I had to adapt. During this challenging period, selling pre-owned vehicles became more than just a side hustle—it became my lifeline. That experience opened my eyes to a reality in the market: many Filipinos were actively choosing secondhand vehicles for both personal and business use, but the process was often inefficient, fragmented, and stressful.
Dealers had delayed updates, listings were scattered, and buyers struggled to find reliable information. That gap inspired me to take action.
SeekAuto evolved from organizing Facebook posts into something bigger and more meaningful.
I started by improving how listings were presented—cleaner layouts, clearer details, and centralized group chats to speed up communication with dealers. Eventually, this led to building a dedicated website that serves as:
